Carol Anthony began her study of the I Ching in 1971. Two experiences in meditation guided her to publish her notes under the title, A Guide to the I Ching, and to found Anthony Publishing Company in 1979. She very quickly experienced that her book filled a unique need for people who were trying to understand the I Ching's counsel. Now in its third edition, this book was soon followed by The Philosophy of the I Ching (1981 and 1998. 2nd Ed.). The Other Way, Experiences in Meditation Based on the I Ching followed in 1990, and Love, An Inner Connection, Based on Principles Drawn from the I Ching, in 1993 (2nd Ed. 2002). Her books have since been translated into German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Croatian. I Ching, The Oracle of the Cosmic Way, a collaboration with co-author Hanna Moog, was published in 2002.
